The Khalistan referendum event by ‘Sikhs For Justice’ (SFJ), scheduled to be held in Sydney was cancelled after hundreds of complaints about threats posed by the event were lodged. The event was going to be organized at Blacktown leisure Centre Stanhope. As a result the entire bookings stand cancelled on the instruction of security agencies.
Arvind Gaur, one of the complainants, said that in this event, terrorists are praised via banners and posters which cannot be tolerated. He called this event as a Sikhs for Justice propaganda. Unauthorized banners and posters are being removed from public property by council officials. According to them, these posters and banners were erected without approval. Investigations are going about Sikh For Justice Pvt. Ltd. registered in Victoria.
Earlier this year SFJ was involved in vandalism of the public property with Khalistani graffiti and flags hoisted on the gates of various temples in Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne. These events provoked the Sydney council to take steps in thwarting SFJ’s nefarious intentions for upcoming event.
