Another ‘Target Killing’: A Sikh Woman Shot Dead In Ontario

A 21-year-old Canadian-Sikh woman identified as Pawanpreet Kaur from Brampton has been shot dead. According to the police, It appears as "targeted" killing in Canada's Ontario province. The victim was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant on 3rd December night in Mississauga city of Ontario province. As per eyewitness gunman pointed the gun at her head. Kaur was shot outside a gas station. Life-saving measures were attempted however the victim succumbed to her injuries. The police believe it to be a "targeted" incident and further investigation is going on.

However, this comes days after an Indian-origin teenager Mehakpreet Sethi was stabbed to death by another teenager in a high school parking lot in Canada's British Columbia province. Such incidence now sparks an irk among Sikh community and raise a question about their safety & security in abroad.
