Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s original name was Gobind Rāi. He was known chiefly for his creation of the Khalsa Panth, the military brotherhood of the Sikhs. He focuses and taught the oneness of the creator and the fundamental brotherhood and sisterhood of all. He told that there was no difference between people based on caste, creed, gender, or nationality. His simple philosophy rested on recognising the fundamental divinity of all people. He is one of the brave and great gurus of Sikhs. He also asked the Sikhs to wear five 5 K- hair(kesh), bracelet(kadaa), sword(kirpan), briefs(kachha) and comb(kanghi) to live life

Guru Gobind Singh proclaimed that he was the last human Guru of the Sikhs and after him only Sikh Guru will be the holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib. Gobind Singh stands today in the minds of Sikhs as the ideal of chivalry and the Sikh soldier-saint. Guru Gobind Singh died in October 1708 at Nanded. Guru Gobind Singh, finding his end near, passed on spiritual Guruship to Guru Granth sahib shortly before his death.
